Joe Lewis, president and owner of Orchard Commercial—the most comprehensive real estate operations company in Silicon Valley—is responsible for overseeing all regional business activities, providing quality service to its customers and maximizing profitability for its clients' commercial properties. Joe has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate as a broker, manager, developer, and owner with expertise in receiverships. Before joining Orchard in 1996, Joe served as executive vice president at Cornish & Carey, directing the property management division in addition to his brokerage practice. In 1988, he was elected Silicon Valley Investment Broker of the Year. He is a member of BOMA Silicon Valley, Institute of Real Estate Management, and NAIOP. Joe serves on the UC Berkeley Fisher Center Advisory Board and on the Board of Directors for ZER01: the Art and Technology Network. Before his real estate career, Joe served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy.

Rosanna Davidson-McMahon, director of Portfolio Development for Orchard Commercial, is responsible for business development, client relations, and property transitions and oversees all business procedures. She has over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate field with expertise in asset management, property repositioning, and value enhancement, as well as acquisition and due diligence. Before joining Orchard, Rosanna worked as senior portfolio manager for Grubb & Ellis, providing regional management and business development for the Greater Bay Area. She also provided regional management and business development for Cushman & Wakefield in Silicon Valley and was the vice president of property management for Trammel Crow Company.

Byron Renfro, vice president of Leasing and Marketing for Orchard Commercial, is responsible for new and renewal leasing, providing consulting and value analysis to institutional clients in identifying and securing new investment opportunities. Byron received his BA from Holy Cross and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and a member of the Urban Land Institute and Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center.

Shannon Freitag, property management team leader for Orchard Commercial—which currently manages over 8 million square feet of commercial real estate in Silicon Valley—has over 17 years of experience in property management, managing day-to-day operations and client relations for multiple commercial properties. She delivers personalized reporting services to property owners, negotiates lease renewals, provides construction management services for capital projects and tenant improvements, maximizes green initiatives, oversees preventive maintenance, and offers team leadership. Before joining Orchard in 2001, Shannon worked as a property manager for Spieker Properties and Trammell Crow Company, among others. She holds the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Association.

Lowell Mazon, vice president of Orchard Construction, is responsible for overseeing construction project management and strategic planning services, including cost estimating, cost control, value analysis, and critical path scheduling for all phases of capital and tenant improvement projects. Lowell has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, serving as vice president and senior project manager for Silicon Valley firms including Trammell Crow Company and South Bay Construction. His areas of expertise include R&D, industrial, manufacturing, commercial office, and medical construction. Lowell has managed the construction of corporate campuses, manufacturing facilities, clean rooms, distribution centers, shopping centers, medical clinics, and numerous tenant improvement projects. His broad network of vendors and subcontractors brings a variety of resources to maximize value for our clients.

Sean Johnson, director of operations for the Mechanical and Maintenance organizations, is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations. Sean has been involved in the HVAC industry for over 15 years. He received his formal technical training in air conditioning and refrigeration technology from Cypress College and his Journeyman technician certification from JATC, Local 467. Sean also holds a C-10 mechanical contractor license. Before his career in the HVAC industry, Sean served with the U.S. Air Force in Iraq during the Gulf War, where he was responsible for frontline troubleshooting and maintenance of worldwide communications equipment.

Melissa Bowman, controller for Orchard Commercial, is responsible for supervising real estate accounting services and IT administration. Melissa has over 27 years of experience in real estate accounting with expertise in public and private tax accounting, tenant expense analysis and recovery, and real estate system design and customization. Before joining Orchard, she served in senior accounting roles for Renault & Handley and The Landsing Corporation, where she was responsible for accounting, network administration, tax, and SEC compliance for public and private real estate investments with assets totaling over $700 million.
