As the head of Orchard, Joe Lewis has built one of the best commercial real estate operating companies in Silicon Valley. That means providing quality service to its customers, maximizing profitability for its clients’ commercial properties, and maintaining a productive environment for its staff. Joe has nearly 30 years of experience in commercial real estate as a broker, manager, developer, and owner. Before coming to Orchard, Joe served in the U.S. Navy as a pilot, leaving in 1980 to join Cornish & Carey Commercial. At Cornish & Carey, he served as executive vice president, directing the property management division in addition to his brokerage practice. In 1988, he was elected Silicon Valley’s Investment Broker of the Year. In 1996, he became president of Orchard Properties and in 2000, purchased Orchard Commercial from its founder.
